Justin Smith – Managing Director

Justin qualified as an EHO in 1997 and has worked in a wide range of local authorities in an enforcement capacity for RSA, of which In House is a trading division. Justin gets involved in wide range of disciplines in both food and health and safety – from working with bus and train companies to working with schools as our lead SafetyMARK auditor. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoor life including, hillwalking, camping and helping out at his son's scout group.

Hazel Bourne – Business Manager

Hazel has worked for In House since 1996. She gets involved with all areas of the business and spends a lot of her time at customer premises, conducting inspections and audits. She likes the fact that her role involves driving around the country, especially near Chester where she used to live. Hazel’s favourite place is other people’s kitchens - "I love nosing around in fridges and asking lots of questions!"

Elizabeth Smith – Technical Support Officer

Elizabeth is our newest member of the team, having joined us from the food manufacturing sector where she was involved in safety, hygiene and quality standards. Elizabeth is partly office based and so you might well speak to her when you call us. She provides technical support to our field staff and our clients as well as undertaking some training and advisory assignments. Oh, and she’s also Justin’s wife (see below) – so we think that a BBQ at their house must be very safe indeed!

Zoe Sheldon - Consultant

Zoe has ten years of safety consultancy experience already under her belt, having worked predominantly in the leisure industry. Her roles have included safety, fire and hygiene auditing at hotels and holiday parks in the UK and abroad. She has advised all types of clients, from schools through to multi-location international accounts. Zoe is one of our key SafetyMARK auditors.
